RAISING AWARENESS FOR ALPHA-1

A charity committed to supporting individuals grappling with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, a rare hereditary disorder.

The condition is characterised by low blood serum levels of an essential protein made in the liver, that protects lungs from progressive tissue destruction.

Although its prevalent among 1 in 9 Australians, it often remains undetected. Treatment is also very expensive (over $100,000 per year for life), making it financially unaffordable for many and leading to a reduced life expectancy.

Alpha-1 Org are the only active charity in Australia advocating for the condition. All donations will go towards supporting the charity in growing their footprint in Australia.
